Youtube is another service offered and owned by google, like Blogger.com. However Youtube is predominently an online community that lets users upload and view video files from all over the world. You are able to view videos without having a youtube account but by having one you can host your own video blog, rate others videos, comment on them and subscribe to your favourite producers. Fame is also found on youtube like the New Zealand fellow, Christiaan Van Vuuren, that caught Campbell Lives attention and has his video postings shown on the program. Check this one out!

If you are interested in making your own short film it is useful to use a storyboard.
What is a storyboard? It's a series of simple drawings on paper of the ideas of shots for your film.
So we drew up the ideas for our film, nominated our actors and discussed what the aim of our film was. This was helpful in my group making the short film as we were able to get straight onto filming knowing exactly what we wanted to film and at what angle the camera was to be on - No mucking about!
Having small shots of around 10 seconds each made it easy to put the film together and also made the film more interesting as each 10 second shot was filmed on a different angle. We haven't shown peoples faces in our short film and there are no vocals - only music. This ensured confidentiality for our actors.
At first this seemed hard as how were we to portray the mood of our actors and get the story across to our audiance? However we used movement, camera angles, props and music to portray our message.
